charlie chaplin — table ballet, the gold rush, 1925

while doing research for schwebel’s show, i happened to watch every chaplin movie ever made.

    Lucky you for watching all of Charlie Chaplin’s movies. Now that is a pursuit I wish I could undertake, seriously. From those I’ve seen, two icons stand out : the “taming of the flea” act in Limelight and the “Globe ballet” in Dictator. Thank you for reminding me of how great a genius Mr. Chaplin was.
